RANGELEY LAKES SNOWMOBILE CLUB

Learn About RLSC NEWSLETTER

November 2009

RLSC Newsletter Past Issues

We are inching closer to winter now, the leaves are gone and the ground has been white with snow at least twice.  Please remember our November Meeting and turkey dinner on November 14th at the Undercroft.  It will be a good time to eat well and catch up on our plans for trail changes for the upcoming season.  Crews have been busy trimming brush and building bridges.  We still have to redo the big bridge over the Rangeley River in Oquossoc.  Help would be appreciated.

The Club and the Arnold Trails Club hosted a MSA Regional Meeting on October 24th.  Mac Dudley from the RLSC who is a MSA Regional Director, and Cap Campbell, who is the MSA’s Western Region Vice President, planned and conducted the meeting.  It was attended by 35 people. Many were club officers from other clubs near Rangeley.  Bureau of Trails Chief, Scott Ramsay stated it was the best regional meeting he has attended in a long time. The Gingerbread House in Oquossoc, prepared a wonderful table of food and drinks for the meeting.

During our October general meeting, 30 people were in attendance ---would like to have seen more members. We enjoyed a good meal and talked about trail work plans.  The first two winners of the season for Easy Bucks were drawn.  The winner was Joe Demarco from Hollis Maine, whose entry ball was drawn again after being placed back in the bin for the second drawing.

Our Christmas party this year will be held at the Clubhouse.  The date will be December 12th, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 5:30pm.  Dinner will be served at 6pm.  The menu will be a Buffet consisting of : ROAST BEEF CARVING STATION, LEMON BASIL CHICKEN, BUTTER CRUMB HADDOCK, OVEN ROASTED POTATOES, VEGETABLE MEDLEY, HOMEMADE DESSERT , COFFEE/TEA, INCLUDES TAX AND GRATUITY. PRICE:  $30 PER MEAL (WITH $1 OFF FOR EACH NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM BROUGHT AS A DONATION TO THE RANGELEY FOOD PANTRY, UP TO $5).

If you are planning on attending our Christmas Party, PLEASE  email Sandi at:  ccsandi@myfairpoint.net or call her at  207-864-2775 with the number in your party.  All money will be collected at the door.
