50/50 Winner
Lobster/Steak Dinner
Congratulations and thanks to
Tim Allen who won $423 in our raffle and
donated it back to the club!
New Sled Winner!
RLSC
raffled off a
brand new Arctic Cat F5 LXR this season at the 2008 SNODEO
awards. Details
Absolutely no riding on plowed roads in the Rangeley area!
We have already had one serious accident – a sled rounded on
a corner and hit a truck on a plowed road. The rider had
parked his truck and unloaded next to a sign that read “no
snowmobiling”. This land is owned by paper companies and
land management companies. Most of our trail system is on
their property and they will shut us down completely if this
doesn’t stop. Logging trucks and other vehicles have every
right to be on these roads any time. You are not only
jeopardizing your life by riding on these roads, you are
jeopardizing the entire Rangeley trail system. Wardens have
been asked to patrol these areas heavily.
We
understand that some people have been removing the “no
snowmobiling” signs so they can claim they didn’t know they
weren’t supposed to ride there.
Maine state law
states “no snowmobiling on plowed roads” – it is illegal
whether there is a sign posted or not.

Mike and Kathy Espinola, RLSC members from Groton, Mass
manned the booth for a day at the NESE.

Gail Gavigan and Vincent Banaitis served
up Rangeley hospitality for the Expo patrons. |

"Easy
Bucks"!
You
can win $50
or $100!
Here's
an opportunity for you to win cash each month in a
lotto-type 2005-2006 season contest. At
each membership meeting, September through June, we will draw 2
entries for
a $50 prize. If the winners are present at the meeting, the prize
doubles to $100. When the winning entry is drawn, it will be
placed back in the tumbler and will be eligible to be drawn again
(we've had numerous 2-time winners and even one 3-time
winner!).
You could even win twice in the same day! The
cost is $10
per entry,
or 3 for $25.
Simply mail in the form (or click
here
to download the entry form) and submit it with your money. You will
be issued a number(s) for your entry, the numbered ball(s) will be
placed in the tumbler and will remain there for the entire season.
You may purchase as many entries as you wish. We will send you a
card showing which numbers were issued to you. Remember,
prizes double if you are in attendance at the time of the
drawing. Business meeting dates
and locations are as posted elsewhere on this page.
Congratulations to our recent
winners!

Christmas Party
12/8/2007
RLSC
hosted its annual Christmas
Party this year a week early again to help avoid conflicts
with other holiday events. The Christmas party/dinner was a
huge success and the food was excellent! Thanks to the
Rangeley Inn for making our event so nice. Also, thanks to
Larry Koob for making our party so entertaining. Larry sold
50/50 raffle tickets at the party and got the prize up to
$500 which was won by Pat Allen of Rangeley.
Congratulations!!! Thank you all for bringing gifts and
food to be given to The Giving Tree. All this
merchandise will be distributed to needy people in the
Rangeley area.
