More
details
Absolutely no riding on plowed roads in the Rangeley area!
Most of our trail system is on
property owned by the paper companies and they will shut us down completely if this
doesn’t stop. Logging trucks and other vehicles have every
right to be on these roads any time. You are not only
jeopardizing your life by riding on these roads, you are
jeopardizing the entire Rangeley trail system. Wardens have
been asked to patrol these areas heavily.
We
understand that some people have been removing the “no
snowmobiling” signs so they can claim they didn’t know they
weren’t supposed to ride there.
Maine state law
states “no snowmobiling on plowed roads” – it is illegal
whether there is a sign posted or not.

"Easy
Bucks"!
You
can win $50
or $100!
Here's
an opportunity for you to win cash each month in a
lotto-type 2005-2006 season contest. At
each membership meeting, September through June, we will draw 2
entries for
a $50 prize. If the winners are present at the meeting, the prize
doubles to $100. When the winning entry is drawn, it will be
placed back in the tumbler and will be eligible to be drawn again
(we've had numerous 2-time winners and even one 3-time
winner!).
You could even win twice in the same day! The
cost is $10
per entry,
or 3 for $25.
Simply mail in the form (or click
here
to download the entry form) and submit it with your money. You will
be issued a number(s) for your entry, the numbered ball(s) will be
placed in the tumbler and will remain there for the entire season.
You may purchase as many entries as you wish. We will send you a
card showing which numbers were issued to you. Remember,
prizes double if you are in attendance at the time of the
drawing. Business meeting dates
and locations are as posted elsewhere on this page.
Congratulations to our most recent
winners!
