Trail/Conditions Update 2-29-2024
Good morning folks
It’s thursday February 29
It’s currently 4 degrees after many days of 40-50 degree weather.
The snow pack and trails took a big hit over the past few days. We have suspended all grooming until we get snow. Please use extreme caution if heading out on the trails. There is very little snow cover in spots and many hazards. The winds over night and presently most likely have caused down trees as well.
Thanks to all our current members and everyone who has supported all the local businesses this year.
Also a big thanks to all our groomer drivers and volunteers who did a great job with the snow that was given to us

Good morning folks,
We’ll as I’m sure you all know we had very warm temperatures and a bit of rain over the past few days. We are planning to get back out tonight and groom what we can and assess the trail system. Temperature will start to drop tonight and into the rest of the week. We lost a fair amount of snow. Usual spots in and around town are very thin with bare spots and some rocks please use caution if going out. Higher elevation have some more snow cover so we hope they are in better shape.
We’ll update later this week
Please respect the landowners and stay on the trail and off closed trails

Good morning folks it’s Thursday February 8. Our trails are open with a few closures as indicated on map below
We have not received any snow for a while and could use some fresh stuff. Our trail system is groomed and pretty good riding for low snow we have. Temperatures are making it tough to groom and a bigger warm up for the weekend. We’ll be grooming when temperatures allow. Still a great weekend to get up and ride and support all the local businesses and events
Keep dancing for snow to come this week coming
Respect landowners and stay on marked trails

See below map for current trail closures
84 east and west and to 117 south around the back side of lake is now open. There is a small section of trail that we need to share with logging operation. Please be aware and stay off closed section through the logging operation. We will lose access if we don't follow signs and respect the loggers
Trails are open with a few closures. We still have early season conditions in spots with some hazards. Please keep speeds down and be cautious. We have had mild temperatures making trails soft by mid afternoon. Best riding conditions are mid week with less volume of traffic. If you can get away midweek you will be happy with good riding conditions.

Good morning, folks. It’s Friday, January 19. We have received over a foot of snow since Sunday and conditions are starting to improve. The groomers have been out getting things in shape and ready for the weekend. Thanks to all the drivers and volunteers that have helped out in the past month to get everything back in shape with all the storms. Lakes are not safe; please stay off them!
We have pretty good coverage on the trail system. Please be cautious out there, as we still have early-season riding conditions along with some water bars. These hazards can come up at any time, so keep speeds down.
Please see the below map for current trail closures. All intersections that are affected are well-marked landowners'. If you come to a landowner's closed trail, please don’t go around them. This will result in additional permanent closures. Unfortunately, we have no control over these, and we have to respect the landowners and their requests. As far as trail closures go, we hope to get some or all of them back. We have no control over this and are not given a certain time frame. This is their property, and they are kind enough to share it with us. We have to respect their closure and use of their own land.
84 from Rev it up to 117 South will be open. Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club of Roxbury/Byron Maine will be grooming 117 north to meet 84 just before Nibboban Trail. From there to Oquossoc on 84 is still closed
There is local access from Oquossoc to the Bemis Trail only on 84. Closed from bemis to Nibboban
